ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

What Is Lips PMU?

Lip Blush PMU is a modern permanent makeup treatment that enhances the natural tone, shape, and overall appearance of the lips using carefully implanted pigment.\

‍

Unlike traditional tattoo techniques, modern Lip Blush is designed to heal softly and naturally, creating a fresh tint effect rather than a solid lipstick look.

‍

The treatment can help restore colour lost over time, neutralise uneven tones, define the lip border, and create a more youthful, balanced appearance while still looking natural and elegant.

How To Prepare

  • Keep lips hydrated for at least 1 week before your appointment
  • Gently exfoliate lips 2–3 days prior if needed
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before treatment
  • Avoid lip fillers for at least 4 weeks before your appointment
  • If you are prone to cold sores, antiviral medication may be recommended before treatment
  • Arrive with clean lips free from makeup if possible

Contraindications

This treatment may not be suitable if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have active cold sores or lip infections
  • Are currently unwell or immunocompromised
  • Have uncontrolled diabetes
  • Are using Accutane/isotretinoin
  • Recently had lip filler or lip surgery
  • Have certain medical conditions or allergies affecting healing

Aftercare Guide

Lips may appear brighter immediately after treatment before softening during healing.

Mild swelling, dryness, and flaking are completely normal during the first few days. The colour will gradually soften and settle into a more natural healed result over the following weeks.

To achieve the best healed outcome:

  • Keep lips hydrated using the recommended aftercare balm
  • Avoid picking or peeling dry skin
  • Avoid spicy foods and excessive heat for the first few days
  • Avoid swimming pools, saunas, and excessive sun exposure during healing
  • Follow all aftercare instructions carefully

Full healing typically takes 4–6 weeks.

FAQ

Will Lip Blush look natural?

Yes — the treatment is designed to enhance your natural lips rather than create a heavy lipstick effect. Colour and intensity are fully customised to your preference.

Is the treatment painful?

Pain sensitivity varies from person to person, however most clients describe the treatment as very manageable and not particularly painful. A numbing cream is used throughout the procedure to ensure comfort during the appointment.

Will my lips look very bright at first?

Lips usually appear brighter immediately after treatment before softening significantly during healing. Once healed, the colour settles into a softer and more natural tint.

How long does Lip Blush last?

Results typically last between 1–3 years depending on lifestyle, skin type, skincare products, and sun exposure.

Can Lip Blush make lips look fuller?

Lip Blush cannot physically add volume, however enhancing the shape, colour, and border of the lips can create the illusion of fuller-looking lips.

Is a touch-up appointment needed?

A touch-up appointment is usually recommended 6–8 weeks after the initial session to perfect colour and healed results.

Can I get Lip Blush if I have lip filler?

Yes — however it is recommended to wait at least 4 weeks after filler before having Lip Blush treatment.
